All Stars are proud to announce the appointment of Liam Baker to the All Stars Board of Directors, marking an exciting milestone in both Liam’s personal journey and the continued growth of our organisation.
Liam first joined All Stars in 2020 as a community coach, delivering community-based football sessions across Wolverhampton. From the very beginning, Liam demonstrated a strong commitment to using sport as a tool to support young people, helping to create safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children and young people to develop both on and off the pitch.
Over the past six years, Liam has become an integral part of the All Stars team. His role has expanded to support the delivery of sports camps, community sessions, and 1-to-1 coaching, while also playing a key part in guiding and supporting our U11s football team. His consistent presence, reliability, and passion for grassroots sport have made a lasting impact on the players, families, and communities we work with.
Throughout his time with All Stars, we have seen Liam grow significantly in confidence, leadership, and professionalism. Alongside his practical experience, Liam has shown a strong commitment to personal and professional development and is currently studying as a mature student at the University of Wolverhampton. His academic journey complements his hands-on work in the community, bringing valuable insight and reflection to his practice.
In his new role as a Board Director, Liam will support the strategic growth of All Stars’ community programmes. He will also play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with local schools and the local authority, helping to ensure our programmes continue to meet local needs and reach more young people across Wolverhampton.
To support Liam in his new position, and to continue developing the wider All Stars team, we will maintain our close partnership with Black Country Coaches Club, providing ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for coaches within our community.
Liam’s appointment reflects All Stars’ commitment to developing leadership from within and recognising individuals who share our values, vision, and passion for community sport. We are delighted to welcome Liam to the Board and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to make as part of our leadership team.
